Week 9 9/2 Experience on Scratch
When the first time used Scratch in class, I felt it's really hard. Although we had 30 mins to make a small movement, I felt stressful. It's not easy tool I used before that really need time to experience it and get familiar with it. When I did homework, I felt it's much better for me to work with Scratch. I began enjoyed the whole planning process and felt it's interesting that should have a lot of opportunities to connect with the art class. It's also really challenge for teacher to use this tool. I think the earliest age to work with Scratch should be middle school. Before do the assignment, the teacher should have a brief explanation class to help students explore Scratch, and then include some practices will be better to know students are understand. It's a good tool to connect with other disciplines in art classroom, such as create the game for gamers to practice math, reading, or writing. Students to create a story help them naturally develop logical and critical thinking skills in the art class, because they will focus on how to make the story rather than practice the thinking skills. So that's why I think art classroom is essential and important for people to make them growth and practice skills.
