New York City College of Technology was founded in 1946, under the name "The New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences." It basically focus on technology study separate to several areas of Study - Engineering Technology, Applied Arts & Sciences, Design & Media, and Information Technology.
Engineering Technology - Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Construction Management Technology, Electrical Engineering & Telecommunications Technologies, Environmental Control Technology, and Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Applied Arts & Sciences - Chemical Technology & Applied Chemistry and Professional & Technical Writing.
Design & Media - Architectural Technology, Emerging Media Technologies, Entertainment Technology, Communication Design, Communication Design Management, and Industrial Design.
Information Technology - Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Computer Systems.
